How to reach the Nirvana Resort

Xiahe has opened its small airport in August 2013. There are direct flights from Xi'an, Lhasa, Tianjin, Chengdu and Yinchuan.

​There is a mini bus from the Xiahe airport to Xiahe town, but there are no taxis available at the airport. If you need a private airport transfer so you can stop on the way to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and grasslands, please contact us at wandhi1@yahoo.com    A private car transfer costs 300 rmb. Please inform us of your arrival time and flight number and we come to pick you up.

 

 

BY TRAIN

You would have to take the train to Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province. From there you would have to take the bus or private transport to Xiahe. See bus section below.

 

 

ARRIVING IN XIAHE BY BUS

There are several local buses connecting Xiahe to the outside world.

*From Lanzhou: there are buses leaving Lanzhou South bus station at 07.30, 08.30, 10.30, 14.00 and 15.00 (3,5 hours)

*From Langmusi: in 2021 the direct bus service stopped. The 2 daily buses first go to Hezuo, from where you have to change the bus to Xiahe (note: you have to change bus stations in Hezuo) 

*From Linxia:  there are buses leaving from Linxia about every 45 minutes (2 hours)

*From Hezuo: there are buses from Hezuo to Xiahe roughly every half hour (1,15 hours)

*From Xining: there is one morning bus from Xining to Xiahe at 07.40. It leaves from the bus station next to the main train station. Tickets can be bought from the Chinese version of the ctrip app.

A transfer from Xiahe town to the Nirvana Resort is 100 rmb, it takes 20 minutes by car. Please contact us at  wandhi1@yahoo.com  if you would like to book it.

 

BUSES LEAVING XIAHE

* Xiahe to Lanzhou: 06.30, 07.30, 08.30, 12.10, 14.30 and 14.55 (3,5 hours)

* Xiahe to Xining: 07.00 (5 hours)

* Xiahe to Langmusi: in 2021 the direct bus service stopped. The 2 daily buses first go to Hezuo, from where you have to change the bus to Langmusi (note: you have to change bus stations in Hezuo) 

* Xiahe to Tongren 07.30 and 14.00 (3,5 hours)

* Xiahe to Linxia:  there are buses to Linxia about every 45 minutes (2 hours)

* Xiahe to Hezuo: there are buses to Hezuo roughly every half hour (1,15 hours)

 

All bus tickets can only be bought 1 day in advance at the Xiahe bus station. Unfortunately it is not possible to buy tickets, leaving from Xiahe, online. Since summer 2020, you have to go to the bus station in person to buy the ticket. The staff requires you to show you passport or ID and your health code. It is not possible for someone else to buy your ticket.   

 

 

BY PRIVATE CAR

We can arrange private transport to many places around Xiahe, such as Lanzhou, Hezuo, Langmusi, Binglingsi grottoes. We also arrange private pickups from Lanzhou city or Lanzhou airport. Please contact us at wandhi1@yahoo.com
